Sterilisation

At Queensbay Dental Surgery , we take stringent measures to minimize the risk of infection. We pride ourselves on a very high standard of sterility and cross-infection control and all our staff are carefully trained in these techniques. There is no carpeting on the floor to trap bacteria and rooms are sterilized regularly. We sterilize our instruments using an autoclave which destroys bacteria and viruses. Most important of all, we follow the current guidelines relating to health and safety. We even invest in the up-to-date autoclave machine, such as the renowned Statim 2000 that can clean handpieces thoroughly in 6 minutes cycle.
